What to expect

What to expect after your gift

The Schools Foundation will:

  • Send receipts and letters of appreciation for all gifts

  • Honor requests for privacy (if a donor wishes to remain anonymous)

  • Subtract the fair market value of recognition items from receipts when required to do so by U.S. law

  • Recognize donors in print publications, program materials, digital media, and at related functions.

  • Acknowledge major gift pledges at their full value when written documentation and an initial gift payment are received

Education Program Partners

Educational Program Partners provide professional, financial, and leadership support to a named educational program of the Foundation. Company and organizational partnerships offer the opportunity for directed support, often aligned with the work of the supporting organization. Education Program Partners provide significant financial support for planning, implementation, and expansion of successful research-based educational programs.

A+ College Ready is a training and incentive program designed to increase student achievement in math, science and English through the expansion of advanced placement programs in area high schools.

Principally Speaking Network (PSN) is a network of seventy two (72) area principals who collaborate to address issues in leadership that lead to increased student achievement. The Network encourages cross-district collaboration and focuses on real life problem solving, strategies for improving classroom instruction, and the identification of best practices. Participants are from school systems in Madison City, Madison County, and Huntsville.

Team America Rocket Competition (TARC) is a national design and fly rocket competition supported locally by organizations and volunteers interested in promoting math and science. Middle and high school student teams work with mentors to qualify for competition at the national level. Since 2005, four student teams have received funding to participate in the national competition.

Scholarships for Teachers and Administrators: Classroom teachers and administrators in Huntsville, Madison County and Madison City school systems compete annually for scholarships to help with the cost of graduate studies and National Board certification. Sponsors of these scholarships welcome additional contributions to this growing endowment that promotes continued professional development.
